Jannis in his study After the opening credits, the film opens on an image that clearly reveals his inspiration with Body art: an artistic expression that is characterized by the use of the body, led by cruel and sadomasochistic rituals often at the limits of human endurance. Franco Nero sat on a chair-bound, in an apparent state of trans, reminiscent of the happenings of many artists inspired by this art form, the French Gina Pane, the German Hermann Nitsch, the American Chris Burden, Valie Export from Austria, to name a few.
