Banner ready to hang!
Hello to all!
Today, after the pause of the black cat day (the day of the black cat in yesterday) I show you the banner I made for little house outside the city new ... The embroidery had already seen, but mounted ... And 'something completely different! It is true that I got help from My Magic Grannies but most of the work I've done it myself, although under his supervision! Before I explain step by step how I built the damn misery, did not I think, or else I was doing the pictures ... We feel the same, maybe someone can figure out!
1) Remove the excess fabric from the embroidery, leaving about 1.5 cm from the edge of the embroidery itself.
2) We have the right against the right embroidery with the material chosen for the back (I used a patchwork American themed Christmas very special ... it has cost me dear but it's really beautiful!) And inserted from the tip of the plume , so that remains between the two rights and ideas that the string on the tip ... NB At the top, let good 10cm of America to do the "pole support"!
3) giving the shape to sew everything (in my case it was difficult to make the triangle at the bottom ... a torture for those who can use the machine but not a very precise ...) also making sure to sew the cord to the plume along the brim.
4) Cut the excess fabric (not above the cut eh, I recommend!) And turned to the right, as a small pillow, giving good shape.
5) Fill with cotton wool.
6) We make a low rib (not even 1cm) on the top left we had more we will do the rib on both sides and top. Then folded the rim and we go to cover the Aida fabric was "free", so that it remains void where a great eye to pass the stick. We make a seam here, and then about 1 cm above, to tighten the "hole".
7) Insert the stick and you're done!
A special note to the pole that I did ... Meant, because I did not have a good one available, I did not want to waste money so I am an engineer ... I took a red crayon, I checked the length, I sawed off the tip, I dipped in pure PVA glue (ie, undiluted) and then I turned over all of the red cotton around quite often, covers all the pencil. Once dry, I always created a string with cotton and I stuck one end of the stick. I passed the stick in the banner and then I stopped the cord from the other end of the same ... Chaotic as an explanation eh?! Okay, you better show me know the result ... If you can just contact me for further clarification! Here it is ... the banner Christmas!
See ya soon!
